Costume Cultural Society

Costume Cultural Society is community based arts program that promotes the costuming arts, experimental fashion and participatory theater. It is program of Action Arts League, Inc., a NYC based 501(c)(3)not-for-profit corporation.

Costume oriented “participatory art” events are a growing trend bubbling up around the world. These activities bring together artists and community members in ways that build lasting bridges while helping many to discover their inner artist. With the growing popularity of public festivals, theme parties, costume conventions, street theater and experimental fashion, Costume Culture is a vibrant, year-round arts movement that offers wonderful social benefits.

Costume Cultural Society is involved in producing the Experimental Fashions after-school program and the annual Alt.Oscar Awards fundraiser event.
