Costume Cultural Society is community based arts program that promotes the costuming arts, experimental fashion and participatory theater. CCS is the parent brand of the Kostume Kult arts collective, it produces the annual Alt.Oscar awards event, New York City’s preeminent costume themed Oscar party, and regularly recycles donated costumes helping the uncostumed to get involved and better understand the social and creative benefits of this wonderful pastime.

Costume oriented “participatory art” events are a growing trend bubbling up around the world. These activities bring together artists and community members in ways that build lasting bridges while helping many to discover their inner artist. With the growing popularity of public festivals, theme parties, costume conventions, street theater and experimental fashion, Costume Culture is a vibrant, year-round arts movement that brings together many different types of people world-wide.

Costume Cultural Society can receive tax-deductible donations through its fiscal sponsoring agent Fractured Atlas, a 501(c)3 arts organization where all donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
